Three days, three hundred exhibitors and one George Clarke later and it’s a wrap! Our team have enjoyed many hours of networking, seminars and being in a bubble of never-ending entertainment; but what did we really think of FIT?
Although we would love to talk you through three of the biggest business days of the year, I’m sure you’re not here to read about the endless amount of content and caffeine that the DGCOS team consumed in those seventy-two hours. So, let’s just get to the nitty-gritty.
The industry has some exciting developments happening
The FIT Show excelled in exhibiting the innovations happening within the industry. There were insights into developing automation, creating smart homes, improvements to glass quality and many more.
We were also able to showcase the exciting developments happening at DGCOS. The show was another opportunity for us to strengthen our new brand identity and to share our forward-thinking sales collateral. The collateral has been designed to support our members’ growth aspirations by increasing their sales conversions and reducing cancellation rates. Turning the traditional, mandatory, bottom line absorbing ‘Insurance Backed Guarantee’ into a comprehensive, all-encompassing profitable consumer protection offering.
We were able to identify where the industry is going
The FIT Show exemplified just how progressive the window, door and conservatory industry really is. Industry experts were delivering free seminars, practical business sessions and live product demonstrations. The industry is moving quickly, and the direction is forward.
Our Marketing Manager, Michael McGougan’s, key takeaway was simple – “Smart technology is changing everything.
If you are starting to kick yourself for not going, don’t worry, you can catch the highlights from the show via Fit Show TV’s live stream and day to day highlights:
There was a real appetite for consumer protection and raising industry standards
Whether you are a homeowner, installer or a business, we can all agree that the home improvement industry has often been victim to a bad reputation. The horror stories over the years have left many in the industry feeling cautious when entering the world of home improvement.
During our time at the FIT show, we were excited to see so many people approaching us with the question, “What is the best way to help consumers?”
The show successfully dispelled all doubts in the industry in just three days. The exhibition was bursting at the seams with industry experts who oozed integrity and enthusiasm. It really was an uplifting place to be.
With the help of our brand ambassador, George Clarke, we were able to do our part in restoring confidence in installers and consumers, as we shared our company ethos to all at the FIT Show.
Our aim is to provide trust, confidence and peace of mind to all our members and homeowners. The FIT Show truly allowed us to strengthen our identity as a trustworthy consumer protection organisation.
And, finally…
George Clarke loves a selfie just as much as we do.
All in all, FIT was a success. Our team left the NEC in high spirits with an array of new contacts and a new best friend, George Clarke.
Until next time, Birmingham...
